would you guys be able to help me.

i want to get my head around this change in teaching that i have been seeing going round.. id like to know is it true that the gb are now saying jesus sacrifice isn't for the rank and file?.

if that is so what bloody use is it for everyone to go to the memorial for??.

op based on mr. freeze's topic - could attending the meetings/studying again sway any of you back to the org.

hearing the propaganda over and over again is pretty powerful i'm sure.

(i'm a non-jw, non-christian (no offense), stubborn as a bull and even i had moments of pause based on some of the doctrine (lasted 30 seconds) but i never had family/friends at stake or a background in this.

and Ding,....after I read jwfacts that was coming to mind the hanging onto the skirt of the jew...i believe it was the hem...god so very vague now in my mind ...it was so long ago...i learnt about this over 23 years ago...and somehow didn't see the implications of the detail that the great crowd werent anywehre included except for the reference to the foreigner hanging onto the skirt of the jew...

how it doesnt sit right now....

ive been unindoctrinated for so long i forget all these things...

Soare they saying they are the mediator between Jesus and who? I thought Jesus was the mediator between jah and us?

So does that mean al us underlings are cut out? Ie we won't be living forever in paradise on earth?

Are the Witnesses Really Losing Their Young People?

that article about jehovah's witnesses having the lowest retention rate for born ins keeps popping up every now again ... i'm just curious if any of you have noticed that this is actually the case.

in the congregation that i grew up in, i'm going to say that 95% of the young people in their teens to mid twenties are either regular pioneering, regular auxiliary pioneering, serving in foreign language congregations or where the need is greater.

both of my younger sisters are regular pioneers - and the young people in their hall even organize 8 pm to midnight service on friday nights of their own accord.

Yeah when i was in about over 10 years we had a very large social circle - jwfacts was part of it....

since that time --> none of us spoke about our doubts with each other or planned our exit...but the majority of the young people have left.

14/21 left the borg...and this was slowly over a period of 7 years....a number of them were MS, some even serving in foreign lands...

whats great now is...we have all come together and have shared our journey...its great to be able to speak openly with friends about why and why not and not be judged...

if the borg was more tolerant perhaps they wouldnt have the troubles they do today...

2 jws just called on my door

i saw them coming down the street...the excitment grew.....then 2 people walked up to my door.... .

one could hardly speak english...struggling to invite me to the memorial....i said "why should i go".

they told me ...bec jesus died for everyone just one day a year is very important.... .

for example, they pride themselves in what they don't believe such as immortal souls, the trinity, hellfire, etc.. some exjws still believe it is the "truth" and support the basics.. .

No i dont believe a thing now...I initially did when i left...but i was questioning stuff that i knew wasn't right...over time i read not much, but a little and realised is all rubbish...
